Licensed Psychologist in Austin, TX | Individual and Family Therapy, ART Evaluations and Consultation across Texas, California, and PSYPACT States

As a licensed clinical psychologist based in Austin, TX, I provide individual and family therapy, parent coaching, ART psychological evaluations, and consultation both in person and via telehealth services.

Therapy

When we are suffering, often the greatest antidote is someone to share our suffering with. Research in psychotherapy effectiveness shows that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors predicting helpfulness of therapy. I see my role as providing a supportive therapeutic space to foster growth, healing, and healthy relationships. It takes great courage to face our human vulnerabilities and for each person the journey is unique. Regardless of your reason for entering therapy, our work will be informed by who you are, what you value, and where you want your life to go.

I work with individuals and families across the lifespan (pregnancy, infants, children, teens and adults). I integrate evidence-based practices (including Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Family-Systems, Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, EMDR, child-parent & Infant-Parent therapies) with a person-centered, culturally humble and trauma-informed lens. In particular, I tend to work with daily stressors, parenting, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship & family issues, & life transitions (career change, marriage, pregnancy, parenthood).

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Evaluations and Consultation

I offer for services for individuals pursuing ART treatments including:

  • Surrogate/Gestational Carrier psychological evaluations
  • Ovum/sperm donor psychological evaluations or screenings
  • Intended Parent consultations
  • Group Meetings with intended parents and gestational carriers and/or gamete donors.

Consultation and Training

I offer consultation and training to organizations, offering guidance on creating psychologically informed and trauma-sensitive environments to promote organizational well-being. I have worked in healthcare, education, and the business sector. Psychological consultation to organizations increases belonging, motivation, and psychological safety. Additional benefits include reduced burnout and discord.

My Background

I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, where my research focused on multicultural perspectives in treating youth, behavioral health integration, and trauma-informed care. My training includes a pre-doctoral internship at Westcoast Children’s Clinic in Oakland, where I specialized in trauma-informed therapy and evaluation for children, adolescents, and families. I completed my post-doctoral training at the UCSF Infant-Parent Program, specializing in perinatal mental health, infant-parent psychotherapy, and infant and early childhood mental health consultation.

In addition to my private practice, I’ve worked in diverse clinical settings such as community mental health, hospitals, schools, and integrated healthcare.
